The food and southern hospitality at Pearls can not be beat. Delicious food, generous portions and a whole lot of southern charm can be found at this historic spot in downtown Laurel. Some say its fame comes from being featured on HGTV, I think it comes from the food cause it did not disappoint. The place is very busy so pack you patience as the food will make it well worth the wait.

Perfect place for that down home Southern cooking! EVERYTHING was wouth wateringly, tasty! Not a single complaint about anything! Service was wonderful too, our 8 year old was able to take her time and order without feeling rushed, which was absolutely fantastic. Will definitely be back when I crave fried chicken and mac n cheese!

We love the southern comfort food provided by Ms Pearl’s family. We can recommend the fried chicken and the pork chop.

A fun place but if you don’t hit it at the right time, you will not get in or or have to stand in a very long line. The options are up on the wall and they ran out of them as we were waiting in line. They did add additional items as things ran out. The fried chicken was very tender and the sides were very yummy. The fried pork chop was pretty good, and Miss Pearl came around and greeted the customers and she was such a character.

Wow! This is the first time we’ve ever eaten in a restaurant only open three hours a day, 11:00 AM - 2 PM. We were told to get there early. Because Pearl’s served the best fried chicken I’ve ever had.

Pearl’s is just so fun and delicious. Easy ordering at the counter and got our piping hot food pretty quickly. I had the fried chicken, mac & cheese and green beans. The food was, oh, so good and the service was terrific. Don’t miss a visit to Pearl’s if you visit Laurel.

This is such a special place. It’s only open 3 hours a day and I can see why. They have some of the best fried chicken I think I have ever eaten. Their sweet corn and banana pudding is out of this world. Everything was great but these 3 things I would eat everyday if I lived there. I got to meet Ms. Pearl’s sister who was so nice. I bought her cookbook so let’s see if I can copy hers. All the employees were so friendly.

Found this place on our travels. Apparently its an icon in Laurel so we thought we try it. Super busy. Waited a long time in line. Staff were nice and to the point. They didnt dilly dally around when it came time to take your order. It’s helpful if you know what you want before getting to the counter to order. The food was ok. Was it the best I’ve ever had? No. Was it good enough to rave on and on about? No But it was ok. Might need to try it again sometime.

The food was wonderful. The service was great. We really enjoyed our meal here. I ordered the porkchop, Mac and cheese fries and corn bread. My husband ordered the fried chicken, fried okra, fries and corn bread. We had split the banana pudding for dessert. Everything was delicious. I know we'll definitely eat here again if we're in Laurel.

Vintage comfort food from the Deep South. Fried chicken and Banana Pudding was excellent. Loved the pinto beans and the sweetest sweet potato I've ever had. Miss Pearl personally welcomes you into this time warp
